OXEN are a symbol of strength and power. They are known to be the beast of labor. They are used to plow through hard soil, roots, and rocks, all to make fertile ground for seeds to be planted. OXEN are not in the fields for their own mission, they work hard to accomplish the mission of their master.
The OXEN name was birthed from Matthew 11:29 where Christ said “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me…”. OXEN are those that carry the yoke of Christ, do his work, and allow him to teach us how to walk.
Our mission is not our own but the one our Master has given us. That mission is to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that Christ commanded.
In addition, artists, authors, athletes, and actors have joined the team to use their platforms to not only make "fans" but to make disciples.
Before OXEN are given a yoke to wear, they are first branded, and then a ring is put through the nose of the animal. OXEN are naturally stubborn and hard to control, but with a ring placed through the most sensitive part of the animals body, the master can lead his OXEN with the slightest tug. It’s not until OXEN are trained to recognize the master's voice and obey his commands that they are given a yoke to do work.
OXEN Apparel represents both the brand and the ring. We don’t wear it as a fashion statement, but as a symbol of who we belong to. But being an OXEN is more than just wearing the brand, it’s about being trained to “carry the yoke” of Christ, and do his work.
